Map profile identity to legal recipient

A person may present different professional roles or brands through an identity platform. For each payment-enabled offer, identify the contracting seller, invoice issuer and recipient account. Ask the financial provider whether the intended arrangement is supported. Do not assume that creating another profile creates another financial entity or changes the account's permitted use. Clear mapping is particularly important when several businesses share a founder, a phone number or a visual brand family.

Make the customer-facing details consistent

Check that the profile, checkout, receipt and support contact identify the relationship accurately. Keep separate records where the underlying businesses require them, using the appropriate professional advice. If one profile is only a portfolio or introduction, it need not imply a separate payment capability. The useful design gives visitors the right context for the offer while ensuring the financial records can still explain who sold the service and which approved account received the payment.

Imagine this

Hypothetical example

A hypothetical founder maintains a consulting profile and a creative studio profile. Before adding payment links, she checks which entity sells each service and which account is approved to receive it. The profiles remain distinct for customers while the financial arrangements are explained accurately instead of inferred from branding.

Make it practical.
