Choose observable behaviours

Agree a short rubric before observing a practice session. Useful items include asking the learner's goal, allowing thinking time, checking understanding and keeping the device with its owner. Describe what each behaviour looks like. Avoid broad labels such as charisma, which are difficult to act on and can distract from the customer's experience.

Discuss one moment in detail

After the session, choose a specific moment where a coaching choice affected the learner. Ask what the representative noticed and what they might try differently. Select one behaviour for the next rehearsal rather than handing over a long list of faults. The rubric is a proposed development tool; completing it does not create official product certification or commercial authority.

Imagine this

Hypothetical programme scene

Hypothetically, an observer notices a representative answering immediately whenever a learner pauses. They review that moment together and practise waiting for the learner's question. The next session checks the coaching change rather than rewarding a more energetic presentation.

Make it practical.
