Identify the missing decision input

Tell the assistant what the prospect asked and what information is genuinely needed to respond. Ask for a concise clarification rather than a sales pitch. The missing detail may concern the intended audience, current process or desired timing. Avoid having the assistant infer sensitive or commercially important facts from a person’s title or company name.

Keep the question proportionate

Review whether the draft asks for more information than the next step requires. Explain why the question matters when that is not obvious. The message should make it easy for the person to answer in their own terms. A human should review and choose to send the draft; assistance does not create permission for automatic outreach.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical enquiry asks about a team profile rollout without explaining the intended use. The assistant drafts one question about who will share the profiles, helping the team respond without requesting a full internal database.

Make it practical.
