Separate facts from aspirations
Read the profile as a sceptical buyer would. Identify statements about experience, customers, coverage, availability and outcomes. Mark which describe present facts and which describe plans. A future feature should not sit beside a live service without a visible distinction. Replace expansive claims with accurate scope. The goal is not to make the page timid; it is to ensure that confidence comes from information you can explain and support.
Build a simple evidence record
For each substantial claim, record the source, the person responsible and the next review date. Keep supporting material internally unless it is suitable for public sharing. Ask whether a customer could reasonably interpret a phrase more broadly than intended. Have the delivery team review the promises as well as the marketing team. They are often the first to notice when a polished sentence creates an expectation the service cannot meet.
Hypothetical example
A hypothetical platform describes a planned regional expansion as “available everywhere.” The launch review replaces that phrase with current service coverage and a separate roadmap note. The message becomes more useful because prospects can distinguish what they can use today from what is being explored.
Make it practical.
